New Orleans turns 300 this year, and to celebrate our Tricentennial we've created an extremely special, limited run of Tricentennial bitters.
Once our friends at Old New Orleans Rum finished bottling their Tricentennial Rum, they lent us a wet barrel to age our 2018 Good Food Award winning Chicory-Pecan bitters with whole ground vanilla beans and fresh cardamom. Made with freshly roasted Congregation Coffee and Inglewood Farms organic Louisiana pecans, the end result is a syrupy thick, deeply hued, richly flavored aromatic bitters.
Pairing: These bitters are excellent in the classics. Try a few drops in your next old fashioned, manhattan, sazerac or sidecar. They're also great as a topping for ice cream. Use them to make whipped cream or use in place of vanilla extract in your next batch of cookies. They're great in coffee and useful for mocktails, too.
